How Did You Hear About Them: I got into Joan Jett a little bit and then the movie came out…which is a total cop out answer but I don’t care.
Seen Them Live? No, but I saw Joan Jett and the Blackhearts live and it was the best concert I’ve ever been to.
A memory involving the band/artist: When Juno McGuff sites The Runaways as one of her favourite bands (a three-way tie with Patti Smith and The Stooges) in the movie Juno, I lost it (it took the 5th time seeing it for me to even notice though…)

Things I read while in line at the grocery store…
OK! Magazine reports Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning have been “frenemies” on the set of Breaking Dawn. Yeah, well, it’s probably pretty awkward now that they’re both straight again. Guess the post-Runaways break-up was rough. Lolz
Maybe they’re just sick of all that PG-13 vampire bullshit. Just me? Okay, great. (Partially kidding, I eat that shit up).

Kind of difficult to hear but the entire thing is worth it for Joan’s laugh around 7:15 in response to the question “Do any of you have boyfriends or lovers?” and then she kind of looks at Cherie, before answering the question. Scandalous! But they’re pretty funny about it.
When I would photograph teen stars like David Cassidy and Leif Garrett all of the magazine editors would all tell me to photograph the star in their bedroom. It was no issue for Cherie Currie to invite me in to her boudoir for some photos. Dig the Runaways poster above her bed. Classic!
